Privacy & Cookie Policy
What we collect, why we use it, who helps us run the site, and how you stay in control.

Who We Are
The Lad’s Air-Frying Bible operates ladsairfryingbible.com. For UK data protection purposes, The Lad’s Air-Frying Bible is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this website is used.
Privacy questions and requests should be sent to crew@ladsairfryingbible.com.
Information We Collect
When you browse the website
Our hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, security events and diagnostic logs.
When you contact the crew
The contact form asks for your name, email address, enquiry topic and message. The form is handled through Formspree and is used so the crew can read, manage and reply to the enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
When you use site features
Features such as the Weekly Meal Planner can save choices in your own browser. This information normally stays on that device and is not automatically sent to us.
Lawful reasons for using information
Depending on the situation, we use personal information because you have consented, because it is necessary to respond to something you asked us to do, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the website, or because the law requires it.
Subscribers, Kit & Crew Emails
Email subscriptions are collected and managed using Kit. When you join the AF-200 Crew, Kit may process your email address, subscription status, sign-up source and time, delivery information and engagement information such as email opens or link clicks where those features are enabled.
We use this information to deliver the weekly recipe and other emails people have chosen to receive, maintain the subscriber list, deal with failed delivery, understand which crew emails are useful and honour unsubscribe requests.
Crew emails may include recipes, weekend challenges, cookbook news, website updates, giveaways, offers, affiliate recommendations and products or services that the crew genuinely believes may interest subscribers. This does not mean your details are sold to the recommended business.
The lawful basis for email marketing is consent. Every marketing email should include an unsubscribe option. You can also ask to be removed by emailing crew@ladsairfryingbible.com.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand broad website use, such as which pages and recipes are visited, how visitors move around the website, the type of device used and general performance information.
Google Analytics is switched off until you accept analytics. If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics library is not loaded by this website. Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent and advertising personalisation remain denied.
If accepted, Google may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from technical information, page activity and interaction events. We use that information to improve the website and understand what the crew actually finds useful.
You can change your choice at any time using in the footer or the button on this page.
Cookies & Browser Storage
The website uses a small amount of browser storage for choices and requested features. Some storage is necessary for the requested feature to work. Analytics storage is optional.
| Storage | Purpose | Typical duration | Optional? |
|---|---|---|---|
| laab_cookie_consent_v1 | Remembers whether analytics was accepted or rejected. | Until cleared or replaced by a later consent version. | No — needed to remember the choice. |
| laab_weekly_planner | Saves the meal-planner selections in the visitor’s browser. | Until the planner is cleared or browser storage is removed. | Used only when the planner feature is used. |
| LAAB PWA preference storage | Remembers whether an install prompt was dismissed or the site was installed. | A dismissal is normally remembered for seven days; installation status may remain until cleared. | Used for the install feature. |
| Contact-form cooldown storage | Helps reduce duplicate submissions and spam from the same browser. | Approximately 30 minutes. | Used when the contact form is submitted. |
| _ga and _ga_WF4ET40EXJ | Google Analytics distinguishes browsers and maintains session information. | Google’s default is up to two years and may be refreshed when analytics is used. | Yes — only after analytics is accepted. |
Browsers also allow you to delete cookies and local storage directly. Clearing browser data may remove saved planner information and cause the consent panel to appear again.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers where they are needed to run the website and communications, including:
- Kit, to collect and manage subscribers and send crew emails;
- Formspree, to receive contact-form submissions;
- Google Analytics, only where analytics has been accepted;
- Cloudflare and related hosting, delivery and security services used to publish and protect the website; and
- professional or technical providers where reasonably required to operate, secure or maintain the service.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, to establish or defend legal rights, or to deal with fraud, security threats or misuse.
External and affiliate links
The website links to Amazon and may link to other retailers or third-party websites. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning the site may earn a commission if a qualifying purchase is made. Those external websites control their own cookies and personal information after you visit them, so their privacy information applies.
International processing
Some service providers operate or store information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the provider’s contractual and legal safeguards designed to protect transferred information.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including:
- subscriber information while a person remains subscribed, plus any limited suppression record needed to make sure an unsubscribe is respected;
- contact enquiries while they are being handled and for a reasonable period afterwards where a record is needed;
- technical and security logs for the period needed to operate, diagnose and protect the website; and
- analytics information according to the retention controls applied within the Google Analytics account.
Information may be kept longer where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or establish or defend legal rights.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to ask for access to your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, object to certain uses or receive a portable copy.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful. For crew emails, use the unsubscribe link or contact us. For analytics, reopen Cookie Settings and reject analytics.
We may need enough information to confirm identity before acting on a request. We will not ask for more information than is reasonably necessary.
Contact, Questions & Complaints
Send privacy questions or rights requests to crew@ladsairfryingbible.com.
If you remain unhappy after giving us a chance to deal with the issue, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
This policy may be updated when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show when it was last revised.
