Air Fryer BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Wraps

This is everything great about a backyard cheeseburger wrapped up into one handheld monster. Smoky beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, pickles, burger sauce, and BBQ glaze all sealed inside a toasted tortilla that crisps beautifully in the air fryer. It's messy, cheesy, and guaranteed to need both hands.

You’ll Need

500g beef mince (20% fat)
4 large tortilla wraps
6 rashers smoked streaky bacon
150g mature cheddar, grated
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

For The Burger BBQ Sauce
3 tbsp smoky BBQ sauce
2 tbsp burger sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard

For The Filling
Sliced pickles
Shredded lettuce

Optional But Dangerous
Jalapeños
Crispy fried onions
Garlic mayo
Extra cheese

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Cook the bacon for 5–6 minutes until crisp, then chop into bite-sized pieces.

Place the beef mince into a foil tray or heatproof dish with the onion, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder,

sea salt, and black pepper.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until browned and cooked through.

Mix together the BBQ sauce, burger sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard.

Stir half of the sauce through the cooked beef.

Lay the tortilla wraps flat.

Add a layer of grated cheddar, followed by the BBQ beef, crispy bacon, pickles, shredded lettuce, and another

small handful of cheese.

Drizzle over a little more burger BBQ sauce.

Fold the sides in and roll each wrap tightly.

Place the wraps seam-side down into the air fryer basket.

Cook at 190°C for 4–5 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden, crisp, and lightly toasted on both sides.

Slice in half and drizzle with the remaining burger BBQ sauce.

Serve immediately while the cheese is still molten.

Lad Tip: Don't overfill the wraps. It feels wrong while you're making them, but once the cheese melts everything expands. A tightly rolled wrap stays crispy, holds together, and keeps more of the filling in your mouth instead of on your lap.
