Air-Fryer BBQ Steakhouse Mushroom Pots

This is the sort of side dish that quietly steals the show. Garlic mushrooms. Butter. Black pepper. Smoky barbecue seasoning.

You’ll Need

500g chestnut mushrooms, halved
2 tbsp olive oil
30g butter
4 cloves garlic, finely sliced

Steakhouse Seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp onion powder

To Finish
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Optional But Dangerous
Parmesan shavings
Steak bites
Crusty bread
Extra garlic butter

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Add the mushrooms to a large bowl.

Toss with the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Transfer to a foil tray or heatproof dish.

Scatter over the sliced garlic.

Dot the butter around the mushrooms.

Air fry at 190°C for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Cook until the mushrooms are softened, browned, and releasing their juices.

Stir through the Worcestershire sauce during the final 2 minutes.

Finish with fresh parsley and parmesan if using.

Serve immediately while still sizzling hot.

Lad Tip: Mushrooms always look like too many when they go in and never enough when they come out. Double the batch if you're feeding a crowd, because these disappear faster than most of the meat.
