This is the moment Christmas parties stop pretending to be civilised. A whole baked Camembert. Garlic butter. Crispy bread. People standing around.

Air-Fryer Camembert Tear & Share Bread preparation stage

You’ll Need

1 whole Camembert (250g)
1 round crusty cob loaf or tear & share bread
2 tbsp melted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely grated
1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

Optional But Dangerous

Cranberry sauce
Honey drizzle
Chopped bacon

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.

Mix the melted butter, garlic, rosemary, salt, and black pepper together.

Using a sharp knife, cut deep criss-cross slices into the top of the bread without cutting all the way through.

Brush the garlic butter generously into all the cuts.

Place the Camembert in the centre of a heatproof dish or tray.

Arrange the bread around it.

Brush any remaining garlic butter over the bread.

Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until the bread is crisp, golden, and the Camembert is molten in the middle.

Remove carefully.

Serve immediately while everything is hot, gooey, and completely irresistible.

Perfect for dipping, tearing, sharing, and pretending you'll save some for later.

Lad Tip: The trick is getting the timing right. You want the bread crunchy and the Camembert flowing like lava. If people start gathering around the fryer before it's finished, that's usually a good sign you're doing Christmas correctly.
