You’ll Need

4 firm bananas, thickly sliced
70g plain flour
35g butter, melted
50g cold butter, cubed
45g light brown sugar
45g demerara sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
40g rolled oats
1 tsp vanilla extract
To Finish
Caramel sauce
Pinch of sea salt
Optional But Dangerous
Vanilla ice cream
Crushed chocolate biscuits

Method

Preheat the air fryer to 175°C.

Toss the banana with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.

Divide between four small ovenproof skillets or ramekins.

Air fry for 4 minutes until the sugar begins to bubble.

Rub the flour and cold butter into crumbs, then stir in the demerara sugar and oats.

Scatter the crumble loosely over the bananas.

Air fry for another 8-9 minutes until golden and bubbling.

Rest for 3 minutes and finish with caramel and sea salt.

Lad Tip: Use firm bananas. Very ripe ones surrender immediately and leave you with sweet wallpaper paste.
