AIR-FRYER CRANBERRY JALAPEÑO BRIE PARCELS
AIR-FRYER CRANBERRY JALAPEÑO BRIE PARCELS preparation stage

You’ll Need

For the Parcels
1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
200g Brie, cut into 8 wedges
8 tsp whole cranberry sauce
1 fresh jalapeño, finely sliced
30g chopped pecans
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp melted butter
Maple Butter Finish
1 tbsp maple syrup
15g melted butter
Pinch of cracked black pepper
Optional but Dangerous
Fresh thyme
Hot honey drizzle
Crushed walnuts
Chilli flakes
Cranberry dipping sauce

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.

Cut the puff pastry into 8 equal squares.

Place a wedge of Brie into the centre of each square.

Top with a teaspoon of cranberry sauce, a couple of slices of jalapeño and a sprinkle of chopped pecans.

Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg.

Fold the pastry over the filling to form neat parcels, pinching the edges firmly closed.

Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg.

Arrange the parcels in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, until deeply golden, puffed and crisp.

Mix together the melted butter and maple syrup, then lightly brush over the hot parcels as soon as they leave the fryer.

Finish with a twist of cracked black pepper and a little fresh thyme if using.

Serve immediately while the Brie is beautifully molten inside.

Lad Tip: Leave these to stand for 2 minutes before biting into one. Melted Brie mixed with hot cranberry sauce has absolutely no sympathy for the roof of your mouth, and the first person to ignore that warning every Thanksgiving is usually the cook.
