You’ll Need
24 raw king prawns, peeled (tails on if preferred)
1 tbsp olive oil
Wooden or metal skewers
For The Firepit Garlic Butter
60g butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, finely grated
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp dried parsley
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
Optional But Dangerous
Lemon wedges
Fresh parsley
Garlic aioli
Crusty bread
Method
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes beforehand.
Thread the prawns onto the skewers, leaving a small gap between each one.
In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic, smoked paprika, chilli flakes, parsley, lemon juice,
Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
Brush the prawns generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Arrange the skewers in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
Cook for 4 minutes.
Turn the skewers over, brush with more garlic butter, and cook for another 3–4 minutes until the prawns are
pink, lightly charred around the edges, and cooked through.
Brush with the remaining garlic butter as soon as they come out of the air fryer.
Finish with fresh parsley and plenty of lemon wedges.
Serve immediately with crusty bread for soaking up every drop of the garlic butter.
