Air-Fryer Honey Mustard Gammon Steaks

This is the sort of food that appears between Christmas and New Year when everybody's pretending they're done with festive food. Then somebody cooks.

You’ll Need

4 gammon steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp black pepper

For The Glaze
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp maple syrup

Optional But Dangerous
Fried eggs
Roast potatoes
Pineapple rings

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.

Pat the gammon steaks dry with kitchen paper.

Lightly brush with olive oil.

Season with black pepper.

In a small bowl, mix together the honey, wholegrain mustard, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup.

Brush half the glaze over the gammon steaks.

Place into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 200°C for 8 minutes.

Turn the gammon steaks.

Brush with the remaining glaze.

Cook for another 6–8 minutes until beautifully caramelised and lightly sticky around the edges.

For extra festive colour, give them a final 2-minute blast at 205°C.

Remove carefully and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Serve immediately with roast potatoes, vegetables, or a fried egg if you're operating in full Christmas-week mode.

Lad Tip: Gammon loves sweet glazes because the saltiness balances everything perfectly. Don't panic when the edges start darkening. Those sticky caramelised bits are where all the festive flavour lives.
