Air-Fryer Pigs in Blanket Sausage Rolls

If Christmas had a greatest hits album, this would definitely make the track list. Take pigs in blankets. Wrap them in puff pastry. Bake until golden..

Air-Fryer Pigs in Blanket Sausage Rolls preparation stage

You’ll Need

1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
12 pigs in blankets (cooked or uncooked)
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp dried thyme
½ tsp black pepper

Optional But Dangerous
Honey drizzle

Wholegrain mustard dip

Cranberry sauce

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.

Unroll the puff pastry onto a board.

Cut into 12 strips wide enough to wrap each pig in blanket.

Wrap each pig in blanket with pastry, overlapping slightly underneath.

Place seam-side down.

Brush generously with beaten egg.

Sprinkle lightly with thyme and black pepper.

Place into the air fryer basket with space between each roll.

Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until puffed, golden, and beautifully crisp.

If using uncooked pigs in blankets, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes to ensure the sausage is fully cooked.

Allow to cool for 2 minutes before serving.

Serve warm with mustard, cranberry sauce, or simply on their own.

Lad Tip: This is festive food engineering at its finest. Somebody already wrapped a sausage in bacon. Then somebody else wrapped that in pastry. Christmas progress should always look this ridiculous.
