Air-Fryer Pigs in Blankets

If Christmas dinner had an MVP award, pigs in blankets would win it every year. Nobody ever says: "I'll just have one." Because nobody ever has one..

Air-Fryer Pigs in Blankets
Air-Fryer Pigs in Blankets preparation stage

You’ll Need

12 cocktail sausages or chipolatas
12 rashers streaky bacon
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
½ tsp black pepper

Optional But Dangerous
Extra bacon
Small pinch chilli flakes

Honey mustard dip

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.

Wrap each sausage tightly with a rasher of streaky bacon.

Place seam-side down on a board.

Brush lightly with maple syrup or honey.

Season with black pepper.

Arrange the pigs in blankets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 200°C for 12–15 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the bacon is crisp, golden, and wrapped tightly around the sausages.

For extra Christmas dinner glory, blast them for a final 2 minutes at 205°C.

Remove carefully and allow them to sit for 1 minute before serving.

Serve immediately while hot and dangerously irresistible.

Lad Tip: Always make more than you think you'll need. Christmas mathematics works differently when pigs in blankets are involved. Twelve somehow becomes six before dinner even starts.
