Air-Fryer Sausage Meat Stuffing Balls

Stuffing is one of the greatest inventions in Christmas history. The problem is most stuffing gets trapped in a dish somewhere and never develops any.

Air-Fryer Sausage Meat Stuffing Balls preparation stage

You’ll Need

400g sausage meat
150g stuffing mix
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tsp dried sage
1 tsp dried thyme
1 egg
100ml hot water
1 tsp black pepper

Optional But Dangerous
Extra sage

Cranberry sauce

Turkey gravy

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Place the stuffing mix into a bowl.

Pour over the hot water and stir until absorbed.

Leave for 2 minutes.

Add the sausage meat, onion, sage, thyme, egg, and black pepper.

Mix thoroughly until fully combined.

Roll into 12 evenly sized stuffing balls.

Place the stuffing balls into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 190°C for 14–18 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

For extra festive colour, give them a final 2 minutes at 200°C.

Remove carefully and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Serve alongside turkey, roast potatoes, and plenty of gravy.

Lad Tip: Stuffing balls should be slightly crisp outside and soft inside. If they survive long enough to reach the dinner table without somebody stealing one, you've shown remarkable self-control.
