Air-Fryer Smokehouse Beef Burger Nachos

This is what happens when a cheeseburger completely loses control of itself. Seasoned beef. Crispy tortilla chips. Molten cheese.

Air-Fryer Smokehouse Beef Burger Nachos preparation stage

You’ll Need

500g beef mince
1 large bag tortilla chips
150g grated cheddar
100g grated mozzarella
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tbsp olive oil

Burger Seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

To Finish
4 tbsp burger sauce
50g sliced pickles
50g crispy onions

Optional But Dangerous
Jalapeños
Chipotle mayo
American cheese slices
Extra beef

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Add the beef mince, onion, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to a foil tray.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until browned and slightly crispy around the edges.

Spread half the tortilla chips into a large foil tray.

Scatter over half the beef mixture.

Add half the cheddar and mozzarella.

Repeat the layers with the remaining chips, beef, and cheese.

Air fry at 180°C for 4–5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

Drizzle generously with burger sauce.

Scatter over the sliced pickles and crispy onions.

Add jalapeños, chipotle mayo, or American cheese if using.

Serve immediately while still molten and completely unreasonable.

Lad Tip: The pickles matter more than people think. Without them, it's just cheesy beef on chips. With them, it suddenly becomes a cheeseburger that accidentally fell into a nacho tray and decided to stay there.
