You’ll Need

8 good-quality pork sausages
1 tbsp olive oil

BBQ Seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

Maple Smoke Glaze
3 tbsp BBQ sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard

Optional But Dangerous
Pickles
Jalapeños
Spring onions
Extra maple glaze

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Cut the sausages into thick bite-sized chunks.

Add the sausage pieces to a bowl with the olive oil.

Mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Toss thoroughly until every piece is coated.

Place the sausage chunks into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.

While the sausages cook, mix together the BBQ sauce, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard.

Once the sausage pieces are browned and crisping around the edges, pour over the glaze and toss thoroughly.

Return to the air fryer for another 4–5 minutes until dark, sticky, and heavily caramelised.

Remove and allow to rest for 1 minute.

Serve immediately while still sizzling.

Lad Tip: The darker these get, the better they become. Don't panic when the edges start looking slightly aggressive. Burnt ends are supposed to look like they've survived a small barbecue accident.
