You’ll Need

4 pork shoulder steaks or thick pork loin steaks
1 tbsp olive oil

Smokehouse Rub
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

Peach BBQ Glaze
4 tbsp BBQ sauce
3 tbsp peach jam or peach preserves
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Optional But Dangerous
Corn on the cob
Apple slaw
Loaded wedges
Pickles

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Pat the pork steaks dry with kitchen paper.

Rub lightly with olive oil.

Mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Coat the pork steaks thoroughly on both sides.

Place into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through.

While the pork cooks, combine the BBQ sauce, peach jam, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.

During the final 4–5 minutes, brush the pork generously with the glaze.

Return to the fryer until the glaze becomes dark, sticky, and lightly caramelised around the edges.

Rest the pork steaks for 3 minutes before serving.

Serve immediately with slaw, corn, or loaded wedges.

Lad Tip: Peach glaze sounds suspicious until you try it. Then you spend the rest of the summer putting it on everything. The slightly charred peach sugars around the edges are where the real barbecue magic lives.
