1 tsp dried sage
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
To Serve
250ml hot turkey gravy
Fresh parsley, chopped
Optional but Dangerous
Cranberry sauce
Hot honey
Ranch dressing
Crispy fried onions
Extra grated Cheddar
Method
Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.
In a large bowl, combine the stuffing, mashed potatoes, grated Cheddar, chopped bacon, spring onions, egg, flour, dried sage, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper.
Mix thoroughly until everything binds together into a firm mixture.
Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions.
Shape each portion into a small round patty about 2cm thick, pressing a criss-cross pattern into the top with the back of a fork to create a waffle-style appearance.
Lightly spray both sides with olive oil.
Arrange the waffle bites in the air fryer basket with space between each one.
Air fry for 12–15 minutes, carefully turning halfway through, until both sides are deeply golden and beautifully crisp.
Warm the turkey gravy until piping hot.
Sprinkle the waffle bites with fresh parsley and serve immediately with the hot gravy alongside for dipping.
