Air-Fryer Turkey & Cranberry Toasted Melts preparation stage

You’ll Need

4 thick slices sourdough or crusty bread
250g cooked turkey, shredded
100g mature cheddar, grated
2 tbsp cranberry sauce
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp butter, softened

Optional But Dangerous
Brie instead of cheddar
Stuffing leftovers

Turkey gravy for dipping

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Place the bread butter-side down on a board.

Spread the mayonnaise over the unbuttered sides.

Top two slices with the shredded turkey.

Add the cranberry sauce evenly over the turkey.

Scatter over the grated cheddar.

Season lightly with black pepper.

Place the remaining slices on top, butter-side facing out.

Transfer the sandwiches to the air fryer basket.

Air fry at 190°C for 4–5 minutes.

Carefully flip.

Cook for another 4–5 minutes until golden, crisp, and beautifully toasted.

Remove carefully and allow to sit for 1 minute before slicing.

Serve immediately while the cheese is still molten.

Lad Tip: This is one of the greatest leftover sandwiches ever created. If you've got leftover stuffing, hide a little inside before cooking. The result is basically Christmas dinner wearing a disguise.
