Air-Fryer Turkey Gravy Loaded Fries preparation stage

You’ll Need

500g frozen thick-cut fries
250g cooked turkey, shredded
100g mature cheddar, grated
50g mozzarella, grated
200ml hot gravy
1 tsp black pepper
2 spring onions, sliced

Optional But Dangerous

Cranberry sauce
Stuffing crumbs
Pigs in blankets, chopped

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.

Cook the fries according to packet instructions, usually 16–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until deeply golden and crisp.

Meanwhile, warm the turkey gently in a small dish with a few spoonfuls of gravy to keep it juicy.

Once the fries are cooked, transfer them into a heatproof tray.

Scatter over the shredded turkey.

Top with the cheddar and mozzarella.

Return to the air fryer at 180°C for 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

Remove carefully.

Pour over the hot gravy.

Finish with sliced spring onions and black pepper.

Serve immediately while everything is still gloriously hot and structurally unstable.

Lad Tip: Always add the gravy at the very end. Crispy fries underneath and rich gravy on top is festive perfection. Add it too early and you create Christmas potato soup, which nobody asked for.
