Method
1 - Preheat your air fryer to 190°C. 2 - In a large bowl combine the pork mince, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. 3 - Mix thoroughly until evenly combined. 4 - Roll into 12 evenly sized meatballs. 5 - Place the meatballs into the air fryer basket in a single layer. 6 - Air fry at 190°C for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until lightly browned and cooked through. 7 - While the meatballs cook, mix together the BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. 8 - Transfer the cooked meatballs into a bowl and coat thoroughly in the BBQ sauce mixture. 9 - Return them to the air fryer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky and caramelised. 10 - Slice the sub rolls open and warm them in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes. 11 - Load the meatballs into the rolls and spoon over any remaining BBQ sauce. 12 - Top generously with mozzarella and cheddar. 13 - Return the loaded subs to the air fryer for 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles. 14 - Finish with any dangerous extras you're using. Serve immediately while hot, cheesy, and structurally questionable.
