Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.
Boil the baby potatoes until just tender, then drain.
Place the potatoes into the air fryer basket.
Gently smash each one with the bottom of a glass or mug.
Drizzle with beef dripping.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Air fry at 200°C for 18–22 minutes until deeply golden and crispy.
Meanwhile add the onion to a foil tray and air fry for 6–8 minutes until softened.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually add the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
Return to the air fryer for 6–8 minutes until thickened into a rich gravy.
Warm the beef slices in the gravy during the final 2–3 minutes.
Transfer the smashed potatoes into a serving tray.
Top with the beef and plenty of gravy.
Finish with crispy onions or horseradish if using.
Serve immediately while everything is still gloriously hot.
