You’ll Need

Dark chocolate
Butter
Sugar (caster or granulated)
Eggs
Plain flour
Cocoa powder

Optional but Encouraged
Chocolate chunks or chips
Ice cream or cream for serving

Method

1 - Preheat your air fryer to 170°C for 3–5 minutes.

2 - Melt the butter and dark chocolate together gently until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

3 - Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until combined.

4 - Beat in the eggs one at a time until glossy and thick.

5 - Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and fold gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

6 - Line a small foil tray or air-fryer-safe tin with baking paper.

7 - Pour the brownie batter into the tray and level the top.

8 - Place the tray into the air fryer basket.

9 - Air fry at 170°C for 14–18 minutes until the top is set and crackled but the middle still has a slight wobble.

10 - Remove and let the brownies cool in the tray. They will firm up as they set. Slice into slabs once cooled slightly.

Lad Tip: If you cook until completely firm, you’ve gone too far. A slight wobble is correct. Clean the basket after — burnt chocolate smells like regret.
