Air-Fryer Churro Cheesecake Bars

Air-fryer churro cheesecake bars from Sweet Munch, built for hot pastry, molten centres, sticky sugar and proper dessert chaos.

This is what happens when somebody looks at churros and cheesecake and decides choosing between them is a waste of time. Creamy cheesecake. Cinnamon sugar. Buttery pastry. Golden crunchy top.

Air-Fryer Churro Cheesecake Bars preparation stage

You’ll Need

1 sheet ready-made croissant dough or puff pastry
200g cream cheese
50g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
For The Churro Topping
25g butter, melted
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For The Finish
2 tbsp caramel sauce
Optional But Dangerous
Biscoff spread
Vanilla ice cream
White chocolate drizzle

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 160°C.

Line a small square baking tin or foil tray with baking paper.

Press half the dough into the base of the tin.

In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, caster sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the dough.

Top with the remaining dough, pressing gently to cover.

Air fry at 160°C for 14–18 minutes until lightly golden and set.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Brush the top with melted butter.

Mix together the caster sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle generously over the surface.

Drizzle lightly with caramel sauce before slicing into bars.

Serve warm or chilled.

Lad Tip: The cinnamon sugar goes on while the top is still warm. That's what creates that proper churro-shop flavour. If half the topping falls off when you cut it, you waited too long.
