Air-Fryer Crispy Beef Taco Cups preparation stage

You’ll Need

500g beef mince
6 large tortilla wraps
100g grated cheddar
50g grated mozzarella
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tbsp olive oil

Taco Seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp chilli powder
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

To Finish
Sour cream
Diced tomato
Spring onions

Optional but Dangerous
Jalapeños
Guacamole
Hot sauce
Crushed tortilla chips

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Cut the tortilla wraps into circles or sections large enough to fit into muffin tins or small heatproof cups.

Press the tortilla pieces into the cups to create taco shells.

Air fry at 190°C for 4–5 minutes until lightly crisp.

Meanwhile add the beef mince, onion, olive oil, and taco seasoning to a foil tray or heatproof dish.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway, until browned and loaded with flavour.

Fill each crispy tortilla cup with the seasoned beef.

Top with cheddar and mozzarella.

Return to the air fryer for 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

Finish with sour cream, diced tomato, spring onions, and any dangerous extras.

Serve immediately while still hot and crunchy.

Lad Tip: Taco cups should make a proper crunch when you bite into them. If they're soft and floppy, you've waited too long. Crunch first. Regret later.
