You’ll Need

350g raw king prawns, peeled
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
1 tsp smoked paprika
Juice of half a lemon
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

Optional but Dangerous
Crusty bread
Garlic aioli
Extra lemon wedges
Chilli flakes
Cold lager

Method

1 - Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

2 - Add the butter, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to a foil tray or heatproof dish.

3 - Place the tray into the air fryer for 2 minutes until the butter melts and the garlic starts softening.

4 - Remove carefully and stir everything together.

5 - Add the king prawns and coat thoroughly in the garlic butter mixture.

6 - Return the tray to the air fryer and cook at 190°C for 7–9 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

7 - Cook until the prawns turn pink, juicy, and lightly golden around the edges.

8 - Finish with the chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon.

9 - Serve immediately while the butter is still bubbling and the garlic smells absolutely ridiculous.

Lad Tip: The prawns are only half the recipe. The real prize is the garlic butter left sitting in the bottom of the tray afterwards. If you've got bread nearby, congratulations. You've just upgraded the whole meal without spending another penny.
