Air-Fryer Honey Butter Toast Soldiers

Air-fryer honey butter toast soldiers from Sweet Munch, built for hot pastry, molten centres, sticky sugar and proper dessert chaos.

This one proves you don’t need pastry or chocolate to make a proper dessert hit. Heat, butter, and sugar will do just fine.

Air-Fryer Honey Butter Toast Soldiers preparation stage

You’ll Need

Thick white or brioche bread
Butter
Honey

Optional but Encouraged
Cinnamon sugar
Vanilla ice cream
Custard

Method

1 - Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 3–5 minutes.

2 - Cut the bread into thick soldiers. Don’t go skinny – you want a soft centre.

3 - Melt the butter gently and stir in the honey until combined.

4 - Brush the soldiers generously on all sides with the honey butter.

5 - Lay the soldiers flat in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

6 - Air fry at 180°C for 5–7 minutes, turning once halfway, until golden and lightly crisp.

7 - Remove while hot and brush with any remaining honey butter. Serve immediately.

Lad Tip: Brioche takes this to another level, but normal white bread still bangs. Eat them hot. Cold honey butter is just sad.
