This is what happens when somebody looks at a pizza and decides the crust isn't doing enough work. A whole garlic baguette loaded with pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage, smoky bacon, molten cheese, and enough meat to make a vegetarian visibly cross from several metres away. It's not subtle. It's not balanced. It's absolutely magnificent.
You’ll Need
1 large garlic baguette or garlic bread loaf
100g pepperoni slices
150g cooked sausage meat or Italian sausage, crumbled
100g smoked bacon, diced
100g grated mozzarella
100g grated cheddar
Pizza Sauce
4 tbsp passata
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
Pinch salt
Pinch black pepper
To Finish
Fresh parsley
Extra oregano
Optional but Dangerous
Jalapeños
Extra pepperoni
Chilli flakes
Garlic mayo drizzle
Method
Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.
Cook the bacon and sausage meat in a foil tray at 190°C for 6–8 minutes until browned and lightly crispy.
Meanwhile mix together the passata, tomato purée, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Slice the garlic baguette lengthways.
Spread the pizza sauce generously across both halves.
Scatter over the cooked sausage and bacon.
Add the pepperoni slices.
Top heavily with mozzarella and cheddar.
Place the garlic bread boats into the air fryer basket or onto a tray.
Air fry at 190°C for 6–8 minutes until the cheese is bubbling, molten, and lightly golden around the edges.
Finish with parsley and extra oregano.
Slice into thick portions and serve immediately while the cheese is still attempting to escape.
