Air-Fryer Mexican Churro Chocolate Rolls

Air-fryer mexican churro chocolate rolls from Sweet Munch, built for hot pastry, molten centres, sticky sugar and proper dessert chaos.

This is what happens when a churro decides being a stick isn't ambitious enough. Crispy cinnamon coating. Warm chocolate filling. Golden pastry. Sugar everywhere. The sort of dessert that starts with one roll and ends with somebody checking the tray for crumbs they can

You’ll Need

4 soft tortilla wraps
100g milk chocolate, chopped
25g butter, melted
3 tbsp caster sugar
1½ tsp cinnamon
For The Finish
2 tbsp chocolate sauce
Optional But Dangerous
Dulce de leche
Vanilla ice cream
White chocolate drizzle

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.

Lay the tortilla wraps flat on a board.

Divide the chopped chocolate evenly between the wraps, placing it in a line down the centre.

Roll each wrap tightly into cigar-shaped rolls, folding the ends in slightly.

Brush all over with melted butter.

Place the rolls seam-side down into the air fryer basket.

Air fry at 180°C for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Mix together the caster sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

As soon as the rolls come out of the fryer, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Drizzle lightly with chocolate sauce before serving.

Serve warm while the chocolate filling is still soft and molten.

Lad Tip: The best churro rolls always leak a little chocolate. Don't fight it. Those caramelised chocolate spots that escape onto the baking paper are often the first bits everybody steals.
