You’ll Need

600g chicken thighs, minced or finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp sea salt, ½ tsp black pepper
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar cheese, 4 rashers streaky bacon

Ranch Sauce
4 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried parsley
Small squeeze of lemon juice

To Serve
Lettuce
Tomato slices
Red onion slices

Optional but Dangerous
Pickles
Jalapeños
Extra bacon
Hot sauce

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 200°C.

In a bowl mix together the chicken, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Form into 4 burger patties.

Place into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 200°C for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through and lightly charred.

Cook the bacon separately until crisp.

During the final minute, place a slice of cheddar onto each burger and allow it to melt.

Mix together all the ranch sauce ingredients.

Warm the burger buns briefly.

Build the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheesy chicken patties, bacon, and ranch sauce.

Add any extras if using.

Serve immediately.

Lad Tip: A proper ranch burger should require at least one napkin rescue attempt halfway through eating it. If nothing drips out the sides, you've been far too cautious with the sauce.
