You’ll Need

8 chicken drumsticks
1 tbsp olive oil

BBQ Rub
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper

Bourbon BBQ Glaze
4 tbsp smoky BBQ sauce
1 tbsp bourbon
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Optional but Dangerous
Corn on the cob
Potato wedges
Pickles
Ranch dip

Method

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C.

Pat the drumsticks dry with kitchen paper.

In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chilli flakes, salt, and black pepper.

Drizzle the drumsticks with olive oil and coat thoroughly in the seasoning mix.

Place the drumsticks into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Air fry at 190°C for 22–25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and cooked through.

While the chicken cooks, mix together the BBQ sauce, bourbon, honey, and Worcestershire sauce.

During the final 4–5 minutes of cooking, brush the drumsticks generously with the glaze.

Return to the fryer until the glaze turns sticky, dark, and lightly caramelised around the edges.

Allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Serve hot with your chosen sides.

Lad Tip: The glaze should be sticky enough that you need at least three napkins. If you can eat these without making a mess, you've done something wrong somewhere.
