You’ll Need
700g pork belly, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
To Finish
Spring onions, sliced
Sesame seeds
Extra honey drizzle
Optional but Dangerous
Loaded fries
Steamed rice
Garlic mayo
Pickled chillies
Method
1 - Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. 2 - Pat the pork belly dry thoroughly with kitchen paper. Dry pork equals crispy edges. 3 - Add the pork belly to a large bowl with the olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and chilli flakes. 4 - Toss thoroughly until every piece is evenly coated. 5 - Place the pork belly into the air fryer basket in a single layer. 6 - Air fry at 200°C for 18–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the fat has rendered and the edges are turning golden and crisp. 7 - While the pork cooks, mix together the garlic, honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. 8 - Transfer the cooked pork belly into a bowl and pour over the glaze. Toss thoroughly until every piece is coated. 9 - Return the pork belly to the air fryer for 4–5 minutes at 190°C until the glaze turns sticky, dark, and beautifully caramelised. 10 - Finish with spring onions, sesame seeds, and an extra drizzle of honey if you're feeling reckless. Serve immediately while hot and dangerously sticky.
